| Mile Welcome Pack |
| Each participant will receive a personal Mile Welcome Pack, consisting of your race number, poster, fundraising
ideas and sponsorship form, and confirming allocated start time. |

| Important Information |
Participants must wear their official race number pinned on the front of their chests and no one is allowed to
participate using another person's race number
All participants enter the event at their own risk and must sign the entry form or must accept the Terms and
Conditions of entry which appear on the online entry site
Participants under the age of 9 years must be accompanied by an adult
Participants must remain within the demarcated routes to ensure their own safety
The organisers reserve the right to cancel the Sport Relief Mile at any stage, even after it has commenced, should
they, in their sole discretion, decide that it is not in the interest of the participants or organisers and sponsors to hold the Sport Relief Mile on account of extremely adverse weather conditions; civil commotion; political unrest; riots; blockades; any circumstances where the safety of the participants is in question or any other good reason. In the event of Sport Relief Mile being cancelled pursuant to the foregoing, participants will not be refunded their entry fee.

Step One: Choose your Distance
When you enter The Sport Relief Mile, you'll get to decide how far you'd like to go - 1, 3 or
5 miles - whichever's a challenge for you. (In Cape Town-talk that is 1.6km, 4.8km or
8km). That means , from teeny-tots with their mums and dads, to super sprinters up
against the clock, there's something for everyone on the big day
Whatever your distance, do it dressed in red from top to toe - including your Sport Relief
T-shirt! Preparing for your challenge is a great way to get active, shape up and feel
brilliant as a result
And remember, it's much more fun to do it with your family and friends - so enter the Mile
as a team to spur each other on.
Step Two: Enter
1 Mile - Is a full-on-fun challenge for everyone who wants to raise cash and have a
laugh. Whether you do it with your kids, your friends or with a good old-fashioned
egg and spoon, you're guaranteed to have a great time from start to finish
3 Miles - Is the perfect distance for those who want to step it up a notch. Try beating
the clock, racing your mates or running as part of a team to get the
sponsorship cash rolling in. Whichever way you do it, you'll be doing a brilliant thing.
5 Miles - Is a great challenge for those who really want to go the distance. Whether it's
your first big run, or you're aiming to beat a personal best, you'll feel elated
when you cross the finish line and raise tons of cash too
Step Three: - Get your mates involved
It's much more fun to do it with family and friends, so why not enter a team? Inspire
your family, your friends, your colleagues and together you can make a whole lot of
difference while having a great time
Step Four: Get Sponsored and make a difference
Once you've entered the Sport Relief Mile, There's just one thing left to do... raise cash to
change lives forever. By getting sponsored to do 1, 3 or 5 miles, you'll make the world of
difference to children and young people living tough lives in South Africa

| Frequently asked questions |
Can I walk/jog rather than run or is it a race?
Yes of course you can walk/jog. Some people will want to go fast but there will be lots of people joggin and walking. Remember it's supposed to be fun; we aren't expecting you to race against the other participants - unless you want to. |

| Things to remember - About your Mile |
- Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your start, to give yourself enough time to get yourself warmed up properly.
- Distance boards will be positioned every mile on the 3 & 5 Mile events.

| Things to remember - What to wear |
- Your race number - so don't forget safety pins to attach it!
- Appropriate clothing and footwear. Whatever you wear, do it in red including your Sport Relief T-shirt.
