Rules
- The race is held under the rules of ASA and CGA.
- Runners participate at their own risk.
- A race number will be provided for participants and must be worn on the front of runners vests.
- No 2, 3, or 4 wheel carts/prams which are mechanicallly or manually operated by participants, will be permitted to participate without the special permission of the Race Organisers and traffic authorities.
- Registered must be a member of a club affiliated to ASA, wear club colours and two 2010 licence numbers (back & front). Race number supplied to be worn on front of vest and licence/temporary licence to be worn on back.
- Temporary licenced athletes must wear plain clothing with the issued temporary licence number on the back.
- Minimum age for participation: 21km - 16yrs; 42km - 20yrs.
- All licenced runners competing for category prizes must wear numeric category tags clearly visible back and front. Proof of age for prize winners will be required to be presented to referees before prizegiving. Prizes will be withheld until confirmed.
- No blades, cyclists or mechanically operated devices allowed in the race.
- Runners indemnify the National, Provincial and Regional bodies, sponsors and Race Organisers against all and any actions of whatever nature that may occur during the race.
- Proof of age to be produced on request on race day.
- No refunds.
- In the event of non-participation an entrant may not allow another runner to use his/her number without prior permission from the Race Organisers which must be obtained at least 24hrs in advance.
- Blind runners and grand masters free.
- Regret, no wheelchair athletes allowed.
- No seconding allowed.
- Cash or internet entries only.
- Walkers welcome 21km only.
- Regret, athletes not allowed to participate with pets (dogs).
- International athletes to provide clearance letter to refree in the event of winning a prize. Only SA athletes qualify for team prizes.
