1. Activating your profile
You need to register and activate your profile on sa-active.com in order to earn Vitality points for events completed. If you haven’t already done so, you need to go to www.sa-active.com
a. Click on the “Register for Vitality” link on the left menu of the homepage. Then proceed with the registration process. You will be required to have all your personal details including ID / passport number, medical aid number and your contact information.
b. If you have registered before, then you need to click on “login to claim points” on the same menu, then once logged in, click on the “Renew Subscription” button to re-activate your profile.
NOTE:
· You need to renew your subscription every year
· Your subscription runs for a calendar year which means it will run from January to December. So for example if you activate your profile in say June, it will only run until December and NOT June the following year.
2. Claiming points
Once you have activated your profile, you can now start claim points for completed events. So once you have participated in an event,
a. Go to www.sa-active.com
b. Click on “Login to claim points”
c. Log in using your username and password
d. Click on “Claim points for an event”
e. Select your event, or if it doesn’t exist on the list, you can add the event in
f. Enter the relevant information. Note that if you do not remember your race number (which most people don’t), you can just enter a zero (0).
g. The most important thing during the claims process is that you MUST provide a website address (url) where we can view the results of this particular event. This is our way of verifying that you participated in the event.
h. Once you complete this, submit your claim and sa-active shall verify it, and then send it through to Discovery for points allocation.
POINTS TO NOTE
At sa-active, we endeavor to successfully process all your claims. Unfortunately however, some claims may be rejected for a variety of reason, the most common being:
· We cannot find the results for the particular event you are claiming for and cannot therefore verify that you did the particular event you are claiming for. Or that maybe you are not listed on the results for that particular event.
· The event you are claiming for is older than 3 months (there is a 3 month window within which to claim Vitality points for an event)
· The event you are claiming for is/was from a previous year
· Incorrect information provided during the claims process.
· You have reached your points limit (You can earn up to 15,000 Vitality points per year, plus 5,000 bonus points when you do a fifth event.
